Mercury Improvements

After extensive research and development, Northland Motor Technologies is pleased to share the mechanical construction and electronic improvements we’ve made to our Through-Flow and Bypass Brushless Blowers.
Our blowers are available in bypass and thru-flow (clean-air) configurations. We’ve equipped our blowers with our advanced controllers, which offer custom speed and acceleration profiles, and offer long maintenance free life.
The Mercury Brushless Blowers are designed for many different applications. Their updates reduce vibration, improve thermal performance for longer life and improve manufacturability. We’ve pursued each of these changes with quality and competitiveness in mind.
Mercury Blowers can reach pressures up to 175” H2O and flows of up to 310 CFM, enabling you to find the best blower to fit your needs.

Rotor Cup
The updated rotor design features an integrated cooling-fan design. This provides better cooling and righter balancing capability.
Therefore, vibration is reduced and cooling of the electronics is improved.

Intelligent Power Module
We’ve fitted our Mercury blowers with Intelligent Power Modules (IMPs). IMPs are far superior to IGBTs used by our competition. IGBTs require a number of external components which are susceptible to minor changes in power and temperature in the application.
In addition, IPMs reduce application specific design time, provide better thermal performance, and better efficiency than IGBTs. The result is a more robust solution.
Therefore, IPMs are the best solution to address a wide voltage, temperature and current range for your application.

Integral hub
The latest Integral hub improves manufacturability. We’ve also modified the heat sink to accommodate new Intelligent Power Module.

Locking feature
Our updated Locking Feature eliminates a reliance on adhesives to secure the stator. This further ensures consistency in production.
